Scott Gallant

Scott’s 17 year tenure driving edtech has led to a pragmatic approach to innovation and the use of information/data that centers around protection and transparency. Having held positions with state government, schools/districts, and vendors alike, his leadership and drive has produced many successful ‘big-data’ initiatives and added significant value to the EdTech space. Scott contributes to numerous privacy and technology leadership consortia both nationally and internationally. He is often the outspoken glue between legal, technical, and business cross-functional teams as atechnology evangelist and creative problem solver.

Steve Smith

Steve has spent over 20 years as a CTO/CIO in K-12 education. including Chief Information Officer for Cambridge Public Schools, Cambridge MA. Steve has spent a great deal of time navigating student privacy issues. Steve also serves as MA state representative to the National Forum on Education Statistics and is a member of the Forum’s Education Data Privacy Working Group. In addition, Steve is a contributing member to the CoSN Trusted Learning Environment project as well as a founding member of A4L(SIFA) International Consortium for Student Data Privacy. and the Massachusetts Student Privacy Alliance.
